The United Nations brought the Sustainable Development Goals to life to provide a roadmap for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and in the future.
In September 2015, the 193 UN member states met at the United Nations headquarters in New York with one purpose – to improve the state of the world and humanity. A total of 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the world were developed.
Areas such as the economy, social affairs, climate, and ecology, but also human rights, the rule of law, good governance, peace, and security were scrutinized and given targets.
